Town Hall Meeting: Let’s Talk Kidney Care
March is National Kidney Month. Rates of kidney disease in the Black population are much higher than rates in other groups. The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter and the Los Angeles (CA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated are collaborating to raise awareness in the Black Community about chronic kidney disease (CKD). Our goal is to reduce the risk of kidney failure in our community and improve outcomes for Black people living with Chronic kidney disease. Our program entitled “Let’s Talk Kidney Care “will provide an opportunity to learn about chronic kidney disease and how to prevent it or slow the progression, if you already have chronic kidney disease.
Please join us on Saturday, March 9th at Holman United Methodist Church in White Hall from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be expert speakers, health care screenings, refreshments, gift bags and prizes.
