Pastor Richard Bentley, a former pastor of Holman UMC, is retiring from active ministry this year after 40 years of service which began on July 1, 1982. There is a celebration of his ministry.

It will be outdoors on the lawn and in the Fellowship Hall. People may come at 1pm or anytime afterwards and stay for as long as they like. Instead of a sit-down meal, drinks and finger foods will served. To encourage mingling, no formal program is planned.

After he retires, Pastor Richard and his spouse Ruth Hutchison are moving to Pilgrim Place in Claremont. Later this May, their daughter Hope is being ordained as a United Methodist minister in Minnesota.
