WORKSHOP LEADERS: Producing Artistic Director Ben Guillory with Playwrights Kurt Maxey (”Pity the Proud Ones”); Melvin Ishmael Johnson (“The Emperor’s Last Performance”/”Catch The Tiger”); Julie Taiwo Oni (“Bunk”) and Oscar Arguello (“Sideways Fences”, “The Tattoo Parlor”)

TOPIC: That’s Quite a Story…LA’s forgotten past (told by ordinary people about extraordinary moments)

AGENDA: Short 10-min play; light refreshments; in workshop writing exercise

COST: FREE

No prior experience writing is required…To successfully complete this workshop, all you need is a willingness to follow your creative spirit.
